What Is the Record of Achievement with Distinction?
The Record of Achievement with Distinction, which lists a student's performance in the MYP Subject Groups and the Personal Project, is formal recognition that the student has done all of the following:
- Participated in the MYP in grades 9 and 10
- Earned a score of at least 2 points (of 7 possible) in one or more Subject Groups; this score is based on a combination of Portfolio assessment and the semester grades
- Successfully completed a Personal Project
- Satisfactorily completed Community Service
To attain a Record of Achievement with Distinction (RoAD) notation in Math, the student must successfully complete Math III (Algebra II) by the end of the 10th grade. To attain a RoAD notation in Language B, the student must successfully complete two consecutive years of one foreign language in grades 9 and 10. To attain a RoAD notation in any other Subject Group, the student must successfully complete that Subject Group. To attain a RoAD notation in the Personal Project, the student must earn at least 3 points (of 7 possible).
A cover letter describing the MYP accompanies the student's high school transcript.
